Rules / Suggestion to modify /events
Last post by Rio_ - Feb 07, 2026, 06:46 PM
Hi,
1.   In event Duel(1v1) there is CHAINSAW that I think should be replaced with RIFLE because RIFLE is back in organisations and CHAINSAW is just useless.

2.   In event Ganton War two weapons  SPAZ and SNIPER  are given. Since SPAZ is disabled again and DEAGLE is back, so I think DEAGLE should replace SPAZ.

Other players also agreed to it @𝖀𝕣.Ɏ @loki.

Regards.

Server Guides / [GUIDE] SA-MP & Open.mp Setup ...
Last post by loki - Feb 02, 2026, 12:07 PM
The ULTIMATE SA-MP & Open.mp Setup Guide
Everything you need for the smoothest experience in 2026

Yo what's up, it's your boy loki back with another guide. I keep seeing people asking the same questions over and over - "why is my SA-MP crashing?", "what's Open.mp?", "which mods should I install?" - so I'm putting everything in one place to save everyone time.

Whether you're completely new to SA-MP or you've been around since 2020 and just want to optimize your setup, I got you covered.

We're gonna talk about Open.mp (and why it's actually better than regular SA-MP), essential mods that won't get you banned, performance tweaks, and how to set everything up in the right order so nothing breaks.

Let's get into it.

PART 1: OPEN.MP - WHAT IS IT AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

What's the deal with Open.mp?: ShowHide

So Open.mp (short for Open Multiplayer) is basically what SA-MP should have been from the start. The original SA-MP development went dead years ago - last major update was in 2015. Meanwhile, bugs piled up, servers kept crashing, and nobody could fix anything because the code was closed-source.

That's where Open.mp comes in. It's a complete rewrite that's open-source, meaning the community can actually improve it instead of waiting for updates that never come.

What makes it objectively better:

Performance & Stability:
• Crashes way less often (like seriously, night and day difference)
• Better memory management = no more random freezes
• Actually optimized for Windows 10/11 instead of being stuck in 2008
• Lower ping on servers that support it
• Handles high player counts better

Compatibility:
• 100% backwards compatible with SA-MP gamemodes and filterscripts
• You can still join old SA-MP servers if you want
• Modern servers like Beckzy are already running on it
• Your old server favorites still work

Features:
• Still getting updates and improvements (unlike SA-MP which is abandoned)
• Better anti-cheat support for server owners
• More customization options
• Actually maintained by people who care

Real talk - if you're still on regular SA-MP in 2026, you're missing out. Open.mp is literally the same thing but better in every way. It's not even a debate anymore, the whole community is moving over.

PART 2: INSTALLATION GUIDES

Installing Open.mp

Installation is super straightforward, takes like 2 minutes max. Here's the exact process:

Step 1: Download the launcher
Head over to open.mp and click the big download button. It'll redirect you to the GitHub releases page → Latest Release (v1.6.1)

Step 2: Get the installer
Download omp-launcher-setup.exe - it's usually at the top of the assets list

Step 3: Deal with Windows being paranoid
Windows Defender might flag it as a threat (it's a false positive, happens with literally every game mod). If you get a warning:
→ Open Windows Security (search it in start menu)
→ Click on "Virus & Threat Protection"
  → Go to "Manage Settings"
→ Scroll down and click "Add or remove exclusions"
→ Click "Add an exclusion" → "File"
→ Browse to where you downloaded omp-launcher-setup.exe and select it

If you're paranoid about viruses (which is fair), the launcher is open source so you can literally check the code yourself on GitHub. It's legit.

Step 4: Install it
Run the installer. It'll ask you to locate your GTA San Andreas folder - just browse to wherever you have GTA installed. If you have Steam version it's usually at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Step 5: Launch and play
Once installed, the Open.mp launcher will handle everything. You can browse servers directly from it, add your favorites, and join games. It's honestly easier than the old SA-MP way.

Video guides if you're more of a visual person:

Full installation walkthrough:

How to add Windows Security exclusions:

Troubleshooting:
• If the launcher won't open, make sure you added the exclusion properly
• If it can't find your GTA folder, manually browse to it
• If you get a "missing d3d9.dll" error, install DirectX End-User Runtime
• Still having issues? Drop a comment and I'll help you out

That's literally it. The launcher does all the heavy lifting.

Installing Samp-Addon
What is Samp-Addon and why you need it: ShowHide

Okay so Samp-Addon is one of those mods that's been around forever but somehow people still don't know about it. It's basically a collection of fixes and optimizations that make SA-MP actually playable without wanting to throw your keyboard.

Why this mod is essential:

Performance Benefits:
• Noticeable FPS boost (10-30 frames depending on your system)
• Smoother gameplay even on potato PCs
• Reduces stuttering when lots of objects load
• Better frame pacing overall

Stability Fixes:
• Fixes crashes related to certain vehicle models
• Prevents random crashes when servers load custom content
• Better handling of corrupted textures (won't crash your game)
• Memory leak fixes that vanilla SA-MP has

Quality of Life:
• Slight ping improvements through better network code
• Faster server browser loading
• Better handling of high ping situations
• More stable connection overall

Here's the thing - Open.mp is great on its own, but pair it with Samp-Addon and you get the absolute best experience possible. They complement each other perfectly.

How to install (takes 1 minute):

1. Go download it → Samp-Addon GTAForums Page
2. Run the installer exe file
3. It'll auto-detect your GTA San Andreas folder (or let you browse to it)
4. Click install and you're done

The installer handles everything automatically. You don't need to manually copy files or edit anything.

Video tutorial if you want to see it in action:

Pro tip: Install this AFTER Open.mp, not before. The order matters because Samp-Addon needs to detect what version you're running.

Trust me, the difference is night and day. If you're playing without this, you're literally handicapping yourself for no reason.

PART 3: RECOMMENDED MODS

⚠️ READ THIS FIRST: Only install mods if you actually understand what they do. Anything that gives gameplay advantages (aimbots, wallhacks, health cheats, money cheats, teleports, etc.) is a bannable offense on every server. Don't be that guy.

The mods listed below are client-side enhancements - they improve visuals, fix bugs, and boost performance. They're allowed on pretty much every server because they don't give you any competitive advantage.

Still not sure? Check your server's rules or ask an admin before installing anything sketchy.

Essential Fixes & Performance Mods (Install these no matter what): ShowHide

These are the core mods that every SA-MP player should have. They fix fundamental issues with the game engine and make everything run smoother.

🔧 SilentPatch
Priority: CRITICAL - Install this first

This isn't optional, this is mandatory. SilentPatch fixes over 50 bugs in the base GTA San Andreas engine that Rockstar never fixed. We're talking about:
• Physics bugs at high FPS (cars no longer fly randomly)
• Audio issues and sound glitches
• Mouse sensitivity problems
• Compatibility with modern Windows versions
• Memory leak fixes
• Improved alt-tabbing

Literally zero reason not to have this installed. It makes the game function the way it should have from the start.

Note:
Some users may experience minor conflicts when using SilentPatch together with Samp-Addon.
If you are already using Samp-Addon and everything works fine, you can safely skip SilentPatch.
Otherwise, feel free to test it and keep it enabled only if you notice no issues.

Possible risks:
• Rare conflicts with Samp-Addon
• Issues if combined with outdated ASI plugins

🔌 Silent's ASI Loader
Priority: CRITICAL - Required for other mods

This is what actually loads ASI plugins like SilentPatch. Without this, most of your mods won't work. Think of it as the foundation that everything else builds on.

Download this from the same page as SilentPatch. The installation is automatic - just run it and it sets itself up.

Possible risks:
• Installing multiple ASI loaders can cause crashes
• Broken ASI plugins may stop the game from launching

⚙️ Framerate Vigilante
Priority: HIGH - Fixes high FPS issues

Remember how I said SilentPatch fixes physics at high FPS? This takes it even further. It specifically targets issues that happen when you're running above 60 FPS:
• Missions that break at high framerates now work properly
• Swimming speed is normalized
• Vehicle handling is consistent
• No more weird glitches in cutscenes

If you're playing on a 144Hz+ monitor or just get high FPS in general, this is essential. Use it with ModLoader.

Possible risks:
• Incorrect FPS caps may cause stutters
• Extremely low caps can affect mission pacing

📏 Open Limit Adjuster
Priority: HIGH - Needed for multiple mods

GTA San Andreas has hardcoded limits on literally everything - vehicle models, weapon models, textures, objects, you name it. This removes those limits.

Why does this matter? Because without it, if you install too many mods (even visual ones), your game will crash. With OLA installed, you can mod the game however you want without hitting arbitrary limits from 2004.

Essential if you plan to use custom vehicle packs, texture mods, or really anything beyond basic stuff.

Possible risks:
• Incorrect config edits may cause startup crashes
• Very old mods may not fully support raised limits

🧱 Mod Loader
Priority: MEDIUM - Makes modding way easier

This is quality of life for modding. Instead of replacing game files (which can corrupt your installation), ModLoader lets you add mods in separate folders. Benefits:
• Install/uninstall mods without touching original files
• Keep your game files clean and organized
• Easy to troubleshoot if something breaks
• Can enable/disable mods by just renaming folders

Makes managing multiple mods way less of a headache. Highly recommended even if you only use a few mods.

Possible risks:
• Poorly made mods can still cause crashes
• Too many heavy mods may increase load times

Visual Enhancements (Optional but recommended): ShowHide

These mods improve how the game looks and feels. They're not essential for functionality, but they make the experience way better, especially if you're on a modern system.

🖥 Widescreen Fix
Install if: You have a widescreen monitor (which is basically everyone in 2026)

If you're playing on anything other than an old 4:3 monitor, you NEED this. Without it, the game looks stretched and wrong. This fixes:
• Proper widescreen aspect ratio support
• FOV correction so the camera doesn't look weird
• HUD scaling for modern resolutions
• Cutscene formatting
• Menu positioning

Makes the game actually look right on 16:9, 21:9, or ultrawide displays. Simple install, massive visual improvement.

📍 First-Person View Mod
Install if: You want more immersion

Adds a proper first-person camera mode. Press V in-game to toggle between third-person and first-person. It's surprisingly well done:
• Smooth camera transitions
• Works in vehicles (driving in first-person hits different)
• Compatible with weapons and shooting
• Doesn't interfere with SA-MP functionality

Not for everyone, but if you like immersive gameplay, this is sick. Especially fun for roleplay servers.

🚗 Big Vehicle Models Pack (SA Style)
⚠️ USE WITH CAUTION - Check server rules first

High quality vehicle model replacements that maintain SA's art style but look way better. These are client-side only - other players won't see them.

IMPORTANT:
• Some servers don't allow vehicle mod replacements
• Make sure your server explicitly allows visual mods
• Can sometimes cause desyncs if the models are too different
• Use ModLoader to install these so you can easily remove them if needed

If your server allows it, these make the game look way more polished. But seriously, check the rules first or risk a ban.

General visual mod tips:
• Start with just Widescreen Fix - it's universal and has zero issues
• Test other visual mods one at a time to see if they cause problems
• Keep backups of your game folder before installing texture packs
• Not all visual mods work well with SA-MP, so be selective

CLEO Library (Advanced users only - READ THE WARNINGS): ShowHide

📜 CLEO Library
⚠️ WARNING: Most SA-MP servers BAN CLEO scripts entirely

Okay so CLEO is a scripting library that lets you add custom scripts to GTA. In singleplayer, it's great - you can do tons of cool stuff. In multiplayer, it's dangerous territory.

Why servers ban it:
• Can be used for cheats (aimbots, ESP, teleports, money hacks)
• Even "legit" CLEO scripts can trigger anti-cheat
• Hard for admins to tell legitimate scripts from cheats
• Most anti-cheat systems auto-ban if they detect CLEO

When you should install it:
• You're playing singleplayer and want to try CLEO mods
• Your server EXPLICITLY allows CLEO in their rules
• You're testing stuff on a local server

When you should NOT install it:
• You want to play on any normal SA-MP/Open.mp server
• The server rules don't specifically say CLEO is allowed
• You're not sure if it's allowed (assume it's not)

If you do install it:
Keep CLEO scripts in a separate folder and only enable them when you're playing offline. Delete the CLEO folder entirely before connecting to servers that ban it. Some anti-cheat systems can detect CLEO even if no scripts are running.

Bottom line: Unless you have a specific reason to use CLEO and you KNOW your server allows it, just skip this entirely. The risk isn't worth it. There are tons of players who got banned because they forgot they had CLEO installed from singleplayer.

You've been warned. Don't come crying if you get banned because you didn't read this.

INSTALLATION ORDER (DO IT IN THIS ORDER)

Follow this order exactly: ShowHide

Order matters because some mods depend on others being installed first. If you do this wrong, stuff won't work and you'll have to reinstall everything. Save yourself the headache and just do it in this sequence:

1. Clean GTA San Andreas installation
Start fresh. If you have old mods installed, either remove them or reinstall GTA entirely. You want a clean base to work from.

2. Open.mp launcher
This is your foundation. Install this before anything else mod-related.
Download Open.mp

3. Silent's ASI Loader
Required for ASI plugins to load.
Download ASI Loader

4. SilentPatch (Optional if using Samp-Addon)
Core bug fixes. Install immediately after ASI Loader since it depends on it.
Download SilentPatch

5. Mod Loader
Sets up the modding framework.
Download Mod Loader

6. Open Limit Adjuster
Removes game limits. Install before adding any content mods.
Download OLA

7. Framerate Vigilante
High FPS fixes. Works with Mod Loader so install after.
Download Framerate Vigilante

8. Samp-Addon
Performance and stability improvements. Install after Open.mp is set up.
Download Samp-Addon

9. Widescreen Fix (if needed)
Only if you're on a widescreen monitor.
Download Widescreen Fix

10. Any other visual mods
First-person mod, vehicle packs, texture mods - install these last when everything else is stable.

Why this specific order?
• ASI Loader must be first because other mods need it to function
• SilentPatch fixes base game issues that other mods assume are already fixed
• Mod Loader needs to be in place before you start loading content through it
• Open Limit Adjuster should be installed before content mods so you don't hit limits
• Samp-Addon detects what's already installed, so it goes near the end
• Visual mods go last so if something breaks, you know what caused it

Pro tips:
• Test the game after each major installation (Open.mp, then after core mods, then after visual mods)
• If something breaks, you'll know exactly which mod caused it
• Keep your original GTA San Andreas files backed up somewhere
• Don't install 10 mods at once and then wonder why your game crashes

Take your time, follow the order, and you'll be golden.

FINAL THOUGHTS & FAQ

TL;DR and final words: ShowHide

Alright so if you actually followed this whole guide, here's what you should have now:

✓ Core Setup:
Open.mp - Modern SA-MP replacement that actually works
Samp-Addon - Performance and stability boost
SilentPatch (Optional) - Bug fixes that should've existed from day one

Note on SilentPatch:
Some users may experience minor conflicts when using SilentPatch together with Samp-Addon. If you are already using Samp-Addon and everything works fine, you can safely skip SilentPatch. Otherwise, feel free to test it and keep it enabled only if you notice no issues.

✓ The Benefits:
• Way higher FPS and smoother gameplay
• Dramatically fewer crashes and freezes
• Actually playable on Windows 10/11
• Access to modern servers like Beckzy
• Better visuals if you installed the optional stuff
• Overall just a way better experience than vanilla SA-MP

Honestly? If you're still running vanilla SA-MP in 2026 without any of these mods, you're missing out big time. The difference is genuinely massive. I'm talking going from constant crashes and 40 FPS to stable 144+ FPS with basically zero crashes.

If you run into problems:
• Read the installation instructions again (seriously, most issues are from skipping steps)
• Check if your mods are in the right order
• Make sure you added Windows Security exclusions for Open.mp
• Try disabling mods one by one to find what's causing issues
• Drop a comment below and I'll try to help

Common questions I already know people will ask:

Q: Will I get banned for using these mods?
A: No. Everything here is client-side performance/visual improvements. No gameplay advantage = no ban. Just don't install CLEO unless your server explicitly allows it.

Q: Do I need ALL of these mods?
A: No, but the minimum I'd recommend is: Open.mp + Samp-Addon + ASI Loader. Everything else is optional. SilentPatch is great but can conflict with Samp-Addon.

Q: My game is crashing after installing mods, help?
A: Did you follow the installation order? Did you install ASI Loader first? Did you add Windows exclusions? 99% of crashes are from not following the steps.

Q: Can I use these on [insert server name here]?
A: If they're a normal SA-MP server, yes. If they have specific mod restrictions, check their rules. When in doubt, ask an admin.

Q: Should I use SilentPatch or Samp-Addon?
A: Both are great, but they can conflict. If you're new, start with Samp-Addon. If you already use Samp-Addon and it works, skip SilentPatch. You can test both but don't blame me if something breaks.

Quick note about updates:
Some of these mods get updated occasionally. I'll try to keep this guide current, but if a link breaks or there's a newer version, just search for the mod name - they're all well-known in the community.

One more thing: If this guide actually helped you and you got your SA-MP running smoothly, drop a like or comment or whatever. It took me a solid few hours to write all this up and test everything. Also if you see someone asking about SA-MP mods or why their game keeps crashing, just link them here.

Alright I'm done rambling. Go enjoy your silky smooth SA-MP experience. See you in San-Andreas! 🚗💨

BECKZY'S ACCOLADES FOR THE YEAR 2026

It's time to celebrate the legends, the tryhards, the chillers, the sweats, and everyone in between!
We're officially hosting the Community Awards/Accolades, where YOU get to vote for various categories.

NOTE:

 • Only one vote per category (you can have Honourable Mentions in Brackets "()"). Multiple votes will NOT BE COUNTED.
 • You MUST NOT ask people to vote for you. If caught, it can result in an instant disqualification.
 • You can only nominate yourself in one category.

REWARDS:

 • Each category-winning prize is $500,000.
 • Custom status would be set for the rest of the year (/stats to check it).
Example: If a player wins the "Best Shooter" category award, the status would be set as the "Best Shooter of the Year 2026"
 • Player winning in most of the Categories would get a Bonus worth $2,000,000.
 • Expect some surprize rewards alongwith Cash and Custom Titles.

Let's see who takes home the glory (and who takes the roast)!
Good luck to all, and may the best players win!
